Rides
RIDES NEWS! Please note that the Easy Sunday is no longer ‘regular’ ride. It will be an ‘occasional’ ride from now on. Please contact us to be put on our mailing list and get regular updates on rides.
Cycle Hereford hold regular and occasional rides to suit a range of abilities and interests.
RIDES
We now have one regular fixture, the Sunday Spin (usually around 20 miles). The Spins are supplemented by occasional outings as and when they are planned by Cycle Hereford members.
FORTHCOMING RIDES
(where no meet places and times are given, please see under REGULAR RIDES)
We are in the process of confirming Sunday Spins up to July this year, and also planning some outings. Details should be posted soon.
FEBRUARY 2012
• Sunday Spin 12th February: To Cannon Bridge led by Arthur Lee. Steve says ‘Bring your gloves. Yesterday I was wearing two pair of gloves among other items of polar apparel.‘

REGULAR RIDES
• Sunday Spins
2nd Sunday of the month. Meet at 10.30 am by the statue of Elgar at the corner of the Cathedral Green. We depart by 10.40. Bring water, picnic, lights, spare inner tube etc.
Sunday Spins are leisurely rides into the glorious Herefordshire countryside, sticking mainly to lightly trafficked lanes. They are usually easy to moderate rides of around 20 miles in total distance. About one hour out and the same back, with a picnic and sometimes a stop at a pub if there’s one handy (so that’s about three hours). But rides can last longer depending on conditions and people.
OCCASIONAL RIDES
• Outings
Outings are usually longer and more adventurous than Spins and can take most of the day. Always great fun. And a friendly and relaxed group ethos. If some of us need to push our bikes up some of the tougher hills, it’s not a problem! But do be sure to bring your picnic, plenty of water, lights, puncture repair kit or spare inner tube and appropriate clothing. As well as a road-worthy bike!
Contact us if you would like to suggest an outing.
